Song brocade (Song Jin) is one of China’s most treasured silks, celebrated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. In fact, the fabric used for this collection is designed by National Living Legend, Master Qian Xiaoping. She is a revered national treasure who has dedicated her life to reviving this complex, ancient weaving art.

The pattern is “Bǎo Huā Bēn Lù” (宝花奔鹿), or “Running Deer & Sacred Blossoms.”

The “Deer” (鹿, Lù): The deer is a beloved symbol of tranquility and grace. However, its true power lies in a famous Chinese play on words. The word ‘Lù’ (Deer) sounds exactly like ‘Lù’ (禄), which means “Prosperity, Good Fortune, and Success.”
The “Blossoms” (宝花): These circular, sacred rosettes are classic symbols of harmony, purity, and fulfillment.
