Our Beginning
A Quiet Choice to Come Home
I used to live like many others—working in a crowded city, surrounded by deadlines, expectations, and a constant sense of unease.
At thirty, I made a quiet but life-changing decision.
I left my job and returned to my hometown.
Not because life was easy there, but because it was honest.
I had loved making things by hand since childhood. When I reconnected with traditional Chinese crafts—especially Chinese knotting—I bought a few simple rolls of thread and began again.
Every tangled rope has its solution.
Some afternoons were very still.
With thread resting in my hands, time seemed to slow, and the noise of the world gently faded.
There is an old saying in Chinese culture:
“Every tangled rope has its solution. Every restless heart has its knot.”
In those moments, I understood.
This was not just craft.
It was a way to breathe again.
