Song brocade (Song Jin) is one of China’s most revered silks, celebrated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. In fact, the fabric used for this scrunchie is a “Fú Guāng Jǐn” (浮光锦), designed by the renowned artisan Li Dexi.

The name itself translates beautifully to “Floating Light Brocade.” This perfectly describes its signature, complex weave, which allows metallic threads to shimmer and “float” across the fabric’s surface as it moves.

The pattern is “Fireworks”. Moreover, this is a universal symbol of celebration, joy, magical moments, and bright new beginnings.
