Song brocade (Song Jin) is one of China’s most revered silks, celebrated as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. This charm is a clever and powerful blessing for prosperity. In fact, its name is a famous Chinese play on words: “Mǎ Shàng Yǒu Qián” (马上有钱).
The word for “on a horse” (马上, Mǎ Shàng) sounds exactly like the word for “immediately.” Consequently, this charm, which places “Qian” (钱, money) “on a Horse” (马, Mǎ), forms the powerful blessing “Immediate Wealth.”
Moreover, we crafted this horse from Shangjiukai’s “Copper Coin” (铜钱纹) brocade. This pattern directly features ancient Chinese currency, which doubles down on the charm’s symbolism for attracting wealth.
